How can I write essays that are “virtually free of grammar and usage errors”?
Not very easily. Even the best of us make mistakes, and it is very hard to find our own errors. Proofread on your own, but also use the Writing Center and kind friends to help you check over your papers. For tips on how to proofread, see this page of the “Guide to Grammar and Writing” from Capital Community College and/or Purdue’s OWL . For help with how to find, correct and avoid grammar, mechanics, usage and puncutation errors, see Writing Help.
With this in mind, please send any errors or broken links you find on this website to SNLwriting@depaul.edu
