Grading Rubric for Papers at the School for New Learning
|
Guidance for Using the Rubric to Assess Papers In general, thoughtful, critical and clear responses to the assignment or competence are passing. Papers in which the writing obscures or impedes the instructor’s ability to assess learning are failing. This includes papers that do not address the assignment or competence, papers that fail to cite their sources, and papers with serious organization and/or grammar problems. Given these general guidelines, papers are placed in the category to the right that best describes them. -- Approved by the SNL Assessment Committee, Spring 2006 |
